Running a blog on autopilot

Most founder blogs die after three posts, not because writing is hard but because nobody owns the routine. This hub is about the routine: how often to publish, how to link articles so they compound, when a refresh beats a new post, and what it costs to outsource the work.

Start with why blogs get abandoned, then set up the systems that stop it happening to yours.

Quick answers

Can a blog really run without me?
The writing and publishing can. The judgement cannot. The setups that work keep a human decision in the loop, usually an approval step on each draft, and automate everything around it: research, drafting, linking, formatting and delivery.
How often should a small blog publish?
Often enough to compound, sustainably enough to keep going. Most blogs die from stopping, not from publishing too slowly. A cadence you can hold for six months beats a burst of ten posts followed by silence.
What breaks first when you automate publishing?
Topic selection and internal linking. A generator will happily write forty articles on terms you cannot rank for and never link them together, which produces a pile of pages rather than a body of work.
