Rankody is an AI-powered SEO content service operated by Rankody (rankody.com). This page explains, in plain language, what data we handle and why. The short version: we store what is needed to write and publish articles for your site, nothing more, and you can take it all back whenever you want.
What we collect
Account information: your email address and display name, provided when you sign in with Google or create an email account.
Your website's public content: when you connect a site, Rankody fetches publicly available pages (titles, headings, descriptions) to research your market and plan articles.
CMS credentials: if you connect WordPress, Ghost, Shopify, or a webhook, we store the credentials you provide (such as an application password or API key) so we can publish articles on your behalf.
Search performance data: if you connect Google Search Console, we read impressions and clicks for your property through a Rankody service account you explicitly authorize.
Basic usage records: timestamps of articles created, approved, and published, kept to run your account and enforce plan limits.
What we do with it
We use your site's content and market signals to generate article plans and drafts. Draft generation is powered by Anthropic's Claude models; the content we send for processing is your site's signals and the working draft, not your personal account data.
We publish articles to your CMS only after you approve them, using the credentials you provided.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train models. We do not show ads.
Where it lives
Rankody runs on Google Cloud (Firebase) in the European Union (europe-west4 / eur3). Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore; secrets are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager.
Third-party processors we rely on: Google Cloud / Firebase (hosting, authentication, database), Anthropic (AI drafting), Openverse (openly licensed images), and YouTube Data API (video search). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Payment
Rankody's free tier requires no payment details. When paid subscriptions launch, payments will be processed by Stripe; Rankody will not store your card number.
Cookies
We use only the cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in (Firebase Authentication). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can disconnect any integration at any time, which deletes its stored credentials. You can ask us to export or delete your account and all associated data by emailing support@rankody.com. We answer within 30 days.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the rights provided by the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, and portability.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note the new effective date here and, for significant changes, email account holders.
